Cancellation Policy
Last updated 11 September 2026. How cancellations work for bookings made through WildRoots.
Standard cancellation policy
Guests can cancel up to 14 days before the experience for a refund, unless the host has specified a different cancellation policy.
Host-specific cancellation policy
The cancellation policy shown on each listing is the applicable policy for that experience. Where a host's policy differs from the WildRoots standard, the host's policy takes precedence.
Because every WildRoots host runs their own stay, trek, expedition or skills course, they set their own terms. The policy that applies to a specific booking is the one shown on that listing's page before you send a request, and confirmed again when your booking is accepted.
If you need to cancel
Contact us at hello@wildrootseu.com and we'll arrange it with the host, or contact the host directly. Refunds follow the cancellation policy stated on the listing you booked, or the 14-day standard above where the host hasn't set one of their own.
If a host cancels
If a host cancels a confirmed booking, you'll be notified as soon as possible and you receive a full refund of what you paid for that booking.
If a host cancels because of weather
Some outdoor experiences — treks, expeditions, skills courses — may be affected by weather or conditions outside the host's control. If the host cancels for that reason, you receive either a full refund, or a voucher for the next date of the same activity. The choice is arranged with you at the time — let us know which you'd prefer and we'll sort it out with the host.
